There are almost 400+ functions available in Excel and day by day they are getting updated. These functions are categorized into multiple categories like Logical Functions, Date & Time Functions, Text Functions, Financial Functions, Lookup & Reference Functions and many more. If you master these functions then you will become a master in Excel. In this Blog post we are going to focus only on Basic Excel Functions. These functions are available in Home tab under editing group as shown in below image. These functions are: 1. SUM 2. MAX 3. MIN 4. AVERAGE 5. COUNT Let’s see them one by one. SUM: This function returns the sum of numbers from the selected Cell Range . For example, we have listed few numbers and we will see how to get sum of these numbers using SUM function. To get the sum of these numbers, select the cell which is present below the given numbers, click on “AutoSum” command then click on “Sum” option as shown in below image. We can highlight the values in excel by applying specific conditions with the help of “Conditional Formatting”. In this post we will focus on how we can apply Conditional Formatting on dates. To use this command you have to select “A Date Occurring” option which is available under Conditional Formatting under Highlight Cells Rules. Once you click on “A Date Occurring” one dialog box will open as shown in below image. As usual this dialog box allow us to provide 02 inputs 1. Condition  2. Formatting Style We can provide 10 different types of conditions on selected dates and highlight these values with the formatting style of our own choice. All these 10 conditions are listed below.
