Insert Symbols in Excel

In this blog post we will learn to “Insert Symbols in Excel”. Many times we may face a situation where we need to insert various symbols in cells while working in excel. We may waste a lot of time if we are not aware about how to insert the symbols in excel. 1. Select the cell in which we want to insert symbol. (In this case we have selected cell “B2”). 2. To insert symbol in excel, we have to go to “Insert” tab and then under “Symbols” group click on the “Symbol” command. 3. Once we click on the “Symbol” command, one dialog box named as “Symbol” will appear on excel screen. 4. Select the symbol which we wish to insert and Click on “Insert” button. 5. Once we click on “Insert” button, we can see that selected symbol is now inserted in cell “B2”. Insert Object in Excel

Many time we may need to insert word file, pdf file or presentation in excel. But many people don’t know how to add these pdf files, word files or PPT files in excel. For those people we will learn to insert objects in excel through this blog post. 1. For this we have to go to “Insert” tab and under “Text” group and click on the command “Object” 2. Once we click on the “Object” command, one dialog box names as “Object” will appear on excel screen. 3. Click on the “Create from File” tab as highlighted in below image. 4. Click on “Browse” button, which will provide the option to select the file which we want to insert in excel. 5. Insert WordArt in Excel

In this blog post we will learn to insert WordArt in excel. WordArt can be used to provide attractive look while creating templates or dashboards. The WordArt command can be found in “Insert” tab and under “Text” group as shown in below image. Once we click on this WordArt command, we can find around 20 different WordArt options which we can use in our excel file. Out of these 20 different WordArt options, we can select any one of our choice. In this case we have selected the WordArt which is highlighted with red in below image. Once we click this red highlighted WordArt option, we can see the this WordArt is now appeared on our excel screen with message in textbox “Your text here”. We can edit the text in this WordArt just by selecting it and typing the letters which we want to enter. In this case we have inserted the name of our blog “ Excel Tricks with Tejraj ”.
