Excel Shortcuts Ctrl A to Ctrl Z

Use of keyboard shortcuts while working in excel will be a great help for us. It will save a lot of time. In this post we are going to see Excel Keyboard Shortcuts for alphabets A to Z while using Ctrl key. Below table will give you a brief idea for each shortcut and its functionality: Now, we will see in detail how each of above listed shortcut combinations will work: Ctrl + A :  It will select all content present on the worksheet. If active cell is in the table then it will select entire table. Ctrl + B :  It will convert selected text into Bold . Ctrl + C : It will copy the selected content. The content which is copied can be seen in the Clipboard. Ctrl + D :  It will fill down the content from upper cell. For example we have inserted a number “1” in the cell A1. If we select the cell range from A1:A5 and press Ctrl + D, then this number “1” will automatically fill down in the entire cell range . Ctrl + E

Insert New Sheet in Excel

In earlier blog posts we have seen how to insert new row and how to insert new column in Excel Sheet. Here, in this post we will see how to insert new sheet in Excel. There are two methods available in Excel with the help of which we can insert new sheet. We will see these methods one by one in detail. 1. By using Insert Sheet command. 2. By using ‘+’ symbol available beside sheets. As an example we have opened one excel sheet which contains 03 sheets by default (Below image is for your easy reference).  Now, we want to insert a new sheet with the help of both the methods as listed above. 1. By using Insert Sheet Command: In this method we can insert new sheet with the insert sheet command. This command can be found in Home Tab under Cells group. Below image will give you clear idea about where we can find this command. Once we click on insert sheet command, new sheet (Sheet4) will get added in excel sheet. Insert New Column in Excel

In this blog post we will see how we can insert a new column in an excel sheet. There are various methods available in excel to insert a new column. All these methods are explained one by one:  1. Right Click 2. Insert Command 3. Ctrl and + 1. Right Click: This is 1st method with which we can insert a new column by using mouse right click. Just follow below steps: 1. Select the entire column where we want to insert a new column. For example if we want to insert a new column on column D then select entire column D. (In below image we can see column D is selected). 2. Press right click on your mouse. Various options will appear on screen. Now, press left click on “Insert” option. 3. Now we can see new blank column is inserted on column D. 2. Insert Command: Next method is by using Insert command. This command we can find in Home Tab under cells group.
