Playing with Fonts in Excel
To make the data in our excel sheet more attractive, it’s always good practice to use the font commands effectively. To do so, we can use various command from Font group. These command are:

We will now see these command one by one:
Font Styles:
We can change the font style of our text in excel with the help of this command. This command is available in Font group.
If we click on the downward pointing arrow which we can see beside the font styles, then we can see multiple font styles available in excel.
For example, if we want to change the font style of our text in excel to “Agency FB” then select the desired text first. Now click on the downward pointing arrow which we can see beside the font styles and select the option “Agency FB”. The selected text will be reflected into “Agency FB”.
Font Size:
If we want to change the font size of the selected cell in excel, then we can use this command.
To do so, just click on the downward pointing arrow which is available beside the Font Size command. We can now see some standard font sizes appears on screen. If we select any of the size, our text will change to that font size.
Now, you may say that I want to change the font size into non-standard value (means the size which is not available in above options). Yes, you can change the font size into non-standard sizes also. Just click on the font size icon and type the value of non-standard font size say 23.
The text will change to font size 23.
Increase font size:
If we want to increase the font size into standard font sizes, we can use this command. Just click on the selected text and click on the Increase font size command icon.
Decrease font size:
If we want to decrease the font size into standard font sizes, we can use this command. Just click on the selected text and click on the decrease font size command icon.
Font Color:
If we want to change the color of the text, then we can use this command. If we click on the downward pointing arrow which is available beside the font color command icon then various color options will appear on the screen. We can select any color of our own choice.
In below example we have selected Red color for our text. The text with red color will looks like below:
Fill Color:
If we want to fill the selected cell with color of our own choice, then we can use this command. If we click on the downward pointing arrow which is available beside the fill color command icon then various color options will appear on the screen. We can select any color of our own choice.
In below example, we have selected yellow color to fill the selected cell. The text with yellow filled color will looks like below:
