Conditional Formatting: Highlighting Values Greater Than Specified Value

In this post we will see how to highlight values greater than specified value with the help of Conditional Formatting.
Conditional Formatting command is available in Home Tab under Style group.

For example, we have a listed random numbers from 10 to 99 in few cells and we want to highlight cells which have values greater than 50.


Instead of highlighting these values manually, we will use conditional formatting. Just follow below steps:

1. Select all the values and then Select Conditional Formatting --> Highlight Cells Rules --> Greater Than


2. One window names as “Greater Than” will appear on screen.


3. Enter value “50” in first input as we want to highlight values greater than 50. And select the formatting style of your own choice in second input to highlight the resulted cells.


4. Here, we have selected our formatting style as “Green Fill with Dark Green Text”


5. The values which are greater than 50 are now highlighted with “Green Fill with Dark Green Text”.


This is so simple!!!!
