Fill Series: Autofill
Autofill option in Fill Series will help us to fill the data automatically. For autofill we have to enter two values which have some pattern between them. Excel will automatically recognize the pattern based on these two values.
1. Let’s take an example by entering 1st value as 5 and 2nd value as 10. Select the cell range up to which we have to autofill the series including these two values. Go to “Home Tab” then select “Editing Group” then select “Fill Command” then select “Series option” and Input the values as mentioned below in Series Dialog Box:
a. Series in: Column
b. Type: Autofill
2. Once you click on the “OK” button then we will see the series is auto filled in selected range.
We have covered all the options of “Fill Series” command in this blog post. The examples which we have given here are for filling series in column but if you want to fill the series in row then you can choose “Series in” value as “Rows”.
